Is there a way to select the application dropdown menu beside the application title at the top of the screen using the phone keypad option in MPE when in flip-open mode?

I also can't select the "connect" or "cancel" option when in the "Connect to Internet" dialogue when in flip-open mode.

MPE just emulates the keypad. For the P990i the +/- buttons are sent as Jogdial up/down
