Hi all

shiny new newbie here

I have been using an SE K510I and today reciived my K800i. I would liek to transfer over :

all contacts - from phone and sim
all sms - sent and received
all pics n themes

is it easy to do this ? what is quickest easiest way please ?

I presume once I plug in my K800i it will automatically be recognised ? Does MPE handle multiple handsets ?

Check if drivers are installed and then go to Menu-File-Users...-New User/Profile

Yes

Menu-Extras-Create backup and when the new phone is connected Menu-Extras-Restore backup. The files have to be uploaded manually.

Much appreciated sir - pretty sure I am on up to date version.

as a side question does anyone here know - the storage limit for sms messages on the K800i handset ? Think i read somewhere it was 1000 can someone confirm or otherwise ? also can such messages to be saved to the memory card instead of intermal memory and thus increase this limit.

The K800i can save 1000 sms and its not possible to extend this with a MemoryStick. Maybe you can patch your phone to increase the sms-storage but this is not a topic for this forum.

thanks for that well it's already 5 times more than my K510i so that's a good start.

Surprising one can't save them to memory stick
