Different Titles For Phonebook

Hello to all.

I just bought a new G900 and have a question.

My previous phone (K800) had the following labels for the different contacts in phonebook: Mobile, Home, Work, Fax, Other.

G900 however has the following labels: Mobile, Mobile(h), Mobile(w), Phone, Phone(h), Phone(w), which is very inconvenient at least for me, who have got used to the previous labels.

What is more, MPE 1.7.1 does not recognize the new labels correctly and the following correspondences occur:

When synching a new contact from phone to MPE:
1. Mobile becomes Mobile(w)
2. Phone becomes Work
3. Mobile(h) becomes Mobile(h)
4. Phone(h) becomes Home
5. Mobile(w) does not get transferred at all
6. Phone(w) does not get transferred at all

When synching a new contact from MPE to phone:
1. Mobile(h) becomes Mobile(h)
2. Mobile(w) becomes Mobile(w)
3. Home becomes Phone(h)
4. Work becomes Phone(w)
5. Fax does not get transferred at all

The not transferred contacts problem is basically a MPE bug I guess, so has anyone else faced this problem? Do you plan on making an update to MPE so that this bug is fixed?

The bug is not only in MPE, its an issue in the interface of the phone. Its technically not possible to detect a diffrence between "Mobile" and "Mobile (w)". Cause this MPE can handle only Mobile(w), if there is only "Mobile" then MPE displays it as "Mobile (w)" - by the way: The PC-Suite has the same problem, cause its related to the phone and not to the PC-Software.

Fax gets not transfered ? Does the G900 have a Fax-Field ?

Hi. Thanks for the super fast reply. :D

No, G900 doesn't have a FAX field. I was referring to MPE's FAX field, which is not transferred to the phone during syncing.

Do you think SE will take care of this interface issue of G900? It's very annoying... :(

SE has canceled the UIQ3-system, the G900 is probably the last UIQ3-Phone from SE forever. Cause this i don't thinkt that they will do a good job with upcoming firmwares.
