Hi

I have a problem with a broken display on my k800i. I have now bought a new phone, a w595. I'am using windows XP on my comp.

The problem is that I want to transfer all my contacts from my k800 on to my new phone. I am new to MPE so I was wondering which is the easiest way to do this when you don't see the display on the old phone.

Also I was wondering if it's necessary to have the SIM-card in when using MPE. I have MPE 1.7.1

If you did already use MPE with your K800i then you can create a backup of this profile eventhe phone is not connected (Menu-Extras-Create backup).

If you never connected the phone to MPE then its also possible but a littlebit ore complicated:
- insert theSIM-Card into another phone and disable the PIN-Authentification
- insert it to the K800i, start it, wait 2 minutes - then press one time the joystick (to enter Normal-Mode and not Walkman-Mode)
- then connect the USB-Cable. The K800i is one of the ast phones where the phone-mode is active even if you don't choose the mode. So from this point on it should be possible to connect with MPE
