I get this message every time I try to connect with my K810i.

Also happens with my mom's new F305.

Tried stable connection, didn't work.

Also, com3 is not listed in the options dropdown menu.

F305 is a low budget phone made by Sagem or Samsung and has no PC-Interface.

But the K810 works with MPE.
With connection do you use? Cable or BT?
If cable, did you install the driver?
If BT, have you enable "serial port" in your BT-software?

Using a cable to connect phone to PC.

The phone was able to connect until recently, so my guess is that some other software / hardware is using the com3 port.

Using MPE 1.7.1 on WinXP SP2.

If you use the cable, you have to choose "Telephone-Mode" on the phone, when you connect.

Did you install only the driver or the SonyEricsson-Suite?
If you install the suite, try a reboot of your pc. The suite can block the ports.
If you only install the drivers, look into the device-manager. The divices should be installed like on the second picture of this FAQ.

If this doesn`t work, close MPE, then open it again, try to connect and when it fail, post the log-files (File -- Settings -- Connection -- Show Log-File).

I always use Telephone mode, and I installed the suite.

I got the K810i working, but not the F305.

Is there any reason why this one should not work ?
Its a brand new SE phone.

Despite being possibly a rebranded Sagem/Samsung, will MPE support F305 eventually?

I already tried to support those phones. The softwareinterface is very instable and buggy, besides this the most interfaces are missing. I don't will support them in future.

You say this SE phone was not designed by SE but by Sagem. Which Sagem platform is this? I mean, is there a codename or platform number? A Sagem phone equivalent?

I'm decided to return the F305 this monday and take a Nokia 5310... Other SE phones are more expensive and I won't keep this cheap rebranded design, despite movement sensors and good animations on screen.
