I installed Update_Service_Setup-2.8.11.7 and updated my W810i phone successfully.

Then I downloaded and installed Sony Ericsson PC Suite_4.006.00_EN. Then I installed MyPhoneExplorer_Setup_1.7.1. MyPhoneExplorer works fine except for Notes. I keep on getting

Obex Protocol could not be initialized!
OBEX Error: NO CARRIER
Maybe this problem can be fixed if you restart your phone.



Any ideas?

Also, can't seem to get PC Suite to find my phone at all. Is it because of MyPhoneExplorer taking over? Not that I want to use PC Suite... but if Notes isn't working in MyPhoneExplorer....

Incase you need the files/updates I used....

Restart the phone and then try to download all contacts from the phone. Please check if all contacts were downloaded - there is a bug in some models which raise this error. If i know if the phonebook can be downloaded correct then i can tell you how to fix it

By the Way: The PC-Suite is NOT needed. only the drivers for USB

Yes, the entire phonebook (seems) to be downloaded. And calendar. And messages.

So how to fix?

on phone and it disconnects.

This caused your problem. Please note that MyPhoneExplorer is not fully compatible to work on chinese computers.

Yes - this should fix it. But don't forget to restart your phone before you try it again (so that the NO_CARRIER-Error disappears)

Any plans to support these exotic locale settings? It's a normal English XP.. just that I usually change the "Language for non-Unicode programs" to Chinese PRC to get some characters show up properly.

I tried to fix this already. I searched for a solution many hours - everytime when i fix one part then another problem comes up.

Near everything in String-Handling is diffrent if you set your PC to DBCS-Mode. So currently there are no plans to blow away many hours again for fixing it.
