Character limit for Calendar entry?

Is there a character limit for items imported from a Google calendar? I'm using a w580i. The Google Calendar What + Description fields are imported correctly into the Sony w580i by MyPhoneExplorer, but the entry displayed on the w580i seems to chop off the Google Calendar entry after about one Sony display screen or about three lines of text from the Google calendar.

The most phones of SE have this limit:
Location: 50 Chars
Subject: 100 Chars
Description: 128 Chars
Can you insert with your phone directly more chars than this limit ?

Thanks for the info on standard phone limits. I had checked the SE phone manual, but did not find it documented there. Doing a quick check of one of my messages, the Subject does seem to limit at 100 characters.
It is very helpful to know that the Subject plus Description fields will allow a total of 228 characters. Using a very long Subject line would give me a work around to the limit of the Description field.

Is there a way to let the phone (and MPE) accept more characters? Patch?
many thanks!

Maybe with some flash tools but that is
not at all recommended! You will loose your warranty and you could damage your phone. Have a look at
http://www.se-world.info if you are still interested at it.

You can overide these limits also in MPE, but it makes no sense if the phone does not accept the long fields. If you decide to tune up the field on the phone then answer to tis thread so i can explain you how to do this in MyPhoneExplorer.

Thanks for your replies!
I would actually be all right with more characters in MPE only. I just don't want to loose them after synchronize. Would that be possible?
thanks

No. It doesn't make sense because then the users will complain why not all of their texts get fully synced.
