Is it posible to save SMS's recived on af SE G700 on a PC by using MyPhoneExplorer?

If yes, is it then posible to save the SMS's from both the Inbox, the Send and the Draft-folders to the computer - without loosing the Time/Date-data on the ones from the Send/Draft-folders? (I had this problem with my W810i-phone)

Thank you for answering! :-)

It should be possible, but without timestamps on outgoing messages. Its a general issue in the interface.

Please Note: If you save too much messages on your Symbian-Phone it could be that they cannot be read out anymore. Up to 1000 messages its no problem

Thank you so much for the quick and concise answar! :-)

What causes the problem with timestamps on outgoing messages?

And is it to find on all mobile phones?

...or just Symbians?

...or just all SE's?

Its a general issue for all devices which have implemented the AT-Commandinterface. Near all phones of SE, older Nokias and many other models and brands

Thanks again for the rapid answar :-)

What is the AT-Commandinterface? (or if you don't wanna explain: where can I find information about it?)

And how do you if a phone uses the AT-Commandinterface?

Do you really want to get deeper into it ? You can trust me - i searched days for a solution. The AT-Commandlineinterface is basicly the same way how you would access a old modem - with much more avaiable commands

But anyway:
AT-Commandlinerefrence
Some stuff about PDU-Format

Actually it looks far to complicated for me... :-) But thanks!

The reason why I am so interested in this subject is, that I uses SMS's like a kind of diary and to capture artistic ideas. To do this I need to store theme at a computer - so I can browse theme and search in them later. This is why I need the timestamps on the Send and Draft-SMS's as well as the Inbox-ones.

In fact I also like the SE-phones.

But as it seems, these two concerns conflict, I may consider other phones. Any ideas? Which brands make easy-to-sync - later easy to find - SMS-savning (timestamping all SMS's)-phones???

Thanks again!!

...or can anyone tell me which SE phones, that doesn't use AT-Commandinterface?

Thanx! :-)

The only SE-Phones which doesn't use AT-Commandlines have in general no PC-Interface (Low-Cost-Models) :-)

You have a Symbian, so there could be another solution: Try out Oxygen Phone Manager, it installs a clientsoftware directly on the phone
