Sync with Thunderbird with profilen in another location

Hi.
I don't have my Thunderbird profile in the standard location and it seams to give me some sync problems. Is there any trick make MPE look for the profile-folder where I ask it to?

Thanks. :)

MyPhoneExplorer searches always for this profile-Inifile: %appdata%\Thunderbird\profiles.ini

If you are using Thunderbird from Portableapps.com then MyPhoneExplorer uses the profilefolder which is set in the file ThunderbirdPortable.ini

I'm not using the portable version, just the "-profile [location]" switch. Would making a fake ThunderbirdPortable.ini file with the location of my profile folder be a solution?

If yes, what should I put in it? :)

Trying a hack here. Making a fake ThunderbirdPortable.ini, only problem is I don't really know what is essential to put in it and of course where I should place it.

The ThunderbirdPortable.ini is not for Thunderbird directly - its for the PortableHandler. Forget the Hack - especially if you are starting MyPhoneExplorer with special commandlineswitches. MyPhoneExplorer has to start Thunderbird also - with own commandlineswitches.

Ok, any suggestion of what I should do then? :)

The only solution would be to use standard-directorys - or to use Thunderbird Portable

Would it be possible to add the possibility to have your Thunderbird profile in another location than the standard one in a later release of MPE? :)

Without being a programmer I can't imagine it to be of great difficulty (although I may be very wrong  ).

Anyway thank you for being so fast to respond in the forum. You are the only example I can think of where one can talk directly to the developer like this, and I think it's great! Thank you for a great peace of software.

No, its not possible cause i have to start Thunderbird with my own parameters.

Can't you use more than one parameter when starting it? :)

No, its hard enought to make the TB-Sync stable so i will not add this
