New C902 firmware fixes compatibility issues

I'm one of the ones that's had problems with random disconnects, and text messages not sending or receiving properly through MPE.
I'm happy to report that a new firmware was released late last week that seems to have fixed the problems. The firmware is available for unbranded and Vodafone phones through the Sony update service. I don't know yet which other operators have released their own versions, but it shouldn't be long.
Don't forget to backup (and remove your memory card) before applying the firmware, as it erases everything, including contacts, messages, paired bluetooth devices, games etc.

Sorry - spoke too soon, a couple of test messages to myself worked fine, but subsequent messages have had the same old problem...

Hmm - too bad. But this means that it must have to do something with the phone-software

The new firmware hasn't resolved the issue, as it is hit and miss with all the problems.

Take a look at this thread:

I do wish you'd stop blaming the phone. We know the phone uses different software - but surely as a developer, it's your job to fit with the product you are meant to be supporting?

Be carefully with your comments. My "job" is nothing. You can use the software or you let it be. I always do what i can and i invested hours to study the logs of kirkie.

I will back you up on that FJ I have no issues with you at all. You have always been very helpful and punctual with all my questions....

Very frustrating for the few C902 users though I think...

What should i do ? Its even senseless to buy or borrow a C902 cause the risk is to high that i get a perfect working device.

PS.: Cause the SMS-Sending-Problem: Did we already tried fLoats Mobile Agent for testing ?

Is there anyway of doing some sort of a poll to see how many people on here do have an issue with the C902?

In relation to the testing I have no idea about that one....

OK, create a new poll and add all Bugs you have in combination C902/MyPhoneExplorer. I will pinn it so everybody will see the Thread.

No problem I will. As for Floats Mobile Agent is that like MPE as I have just Googled it and it looks similar, but far too complicated on what to download to try...

As for Floats Mobile Agent is it not compatible with Vista?

Maybe - i thought its compatible. It would be only for testing-purposes to see if you have the same problems with FMA.

I could try it on an XP computer, but I would rather do it on XP so it is just the same as when I use MPE

I get the following message on XP & Vista for Floats:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... ripten.exe.

The server returned status code 404.

Depending the filename i think its the VB-Scriptingengine. this is not neccessary to run fLoats i think. can you ignore this message ?

Just tried the setup of FMA. Disable "Scripting Support" in the install-options. Then it should work
