API-Error 2 means: The system cannot find the file specified.

So i think the WinInet.dll is not able to find the Google-Server.
by the way: MPE uses the same librarys as the Internet-Explorer for Network-Jobs

- K810i
- Bluetooth
- 1.7.2
- Windows 7 (i know it looks suspicious but it used to work!)

All google related services (the only ones I really use) suddenly ceased working. I get the error message quoted above. Firewall is disabled. Any ideas would be welcome at this point...

forgot to post the log...

maybe the wininet.dll has changed in Windows 7, as long as Windows 7 is beta i will not install it on my PC to fix all issues.

OK, problem solved.

Here's the issue (I hope this helps someone):

Normally I use chrome but sometimes I switch to IE for incompatible sites.
I took my laptop out with me today and being unsure if I'll have a connection I left IE in "work offline" mode because I needed access to information on a certain web page. I then forgot all about it (as mentioned above, I normally use chrome). Like the above user said, the IE tip put me on the right track. Just turn off "work offline" and everything goes back to normal.
