I am trying to get my contacts back onto my phone (K850i) which recently got replaced by O2.

I have a directory on my PC in App Data\MyPhoneExplorer with model names and an IMEI....in there I see phonebook.dat

Is there a way to get the data from there onto my new 850i - I was wondering do I change the IMEI number in the folder name and away I go.

One thing which probably complicates it is that this is a new install of MyPhoneExpolorer as I have had to rebuild my PC (still have access to the old drives with the files on though - Mobo died)....

Any help appreciated !

It should be no problem copying the phonebook.dat + SMS.dat and so on into the folder of the new phone. But replace all these files.

(Damn site easier then trying to muck about with PC Suite!!!!)

In future please do it another way to prevent problems:
You can switch the profiles using Menu-File-Users... . Then export the data from the old profile, change the user and import them back. You can find the Import/Export-Menu if you rightclick the list.

Just copying the datafiles could raise problems with the next sync.
