BUG: 100% CPU time

MPE on XP Pro often, but not reproducively, spins up and takes 100% CPU time if one of the following cases occur:

- Then phone is unplugged from the USB cable
- A telephone call arrives (call monitor appears) and the call is not picked up
- More seldom: An SMS arrives

Have anyone else experiences with this?

Please update the drivers for your USB-Cable.
The SMS-Archive is a littlebit slow, but there should be no "hang" for a long time if ypou work with the sms-archive.

Hmm, I have actually never used the drivers from the CD from the phone but just downloaded them straight off the SE site.

I believe the drivers are as new as can be :-)

Is my report a known problem or something completely new?

It happens from time to time on some PCs. Mostly it could be fixed with using newer or older drivers. You also can try another USB-Port.

Hmmm, interesting,i have noticed the same 100% CPU problem when i simply disconnect the USB lead from my phone when at work. When there i am using a Vista machine, when at home i tend to use Bluetooth on an XP 2 machine which has never experienced the problem.

Guessing its more likely an OS issue for me.

A driver-update should help
