Verfasst: Mo 16. Jun 2008, 03:10

Have been using for almost 2 years now. Got new laptop 3 months ago and sync has worked fine for a while. Now it aborts after about 5 minutes of Sync with "Connection to phone not possible".

Have rebooted phone, computer and recently "reset settings" on phone as this fixed same problem 2 months ago.

WIn XP, SE K610i, MPE 1.6.7.

Please send me the whole logfile via mail
By the way: Did you activated "Close connection after 5 minutes" in the settings ? This setting should not raise your problem but you also talked about 5 minutes...

Any thoughts?

Logfile was emailed to you from work address (citect.com) Tuesday, but that is only 2 days ago... I am traveling next week and would love my phone calendar to be up to date so I know where to go!!!

FJ doesn't have access to internet all the time yet, so it will take a time.

Sorry for the delay. I needed some time to understand your sent logfiles. Your Problem has basicly two reasons:
1.) MyPhoneExplorer does a full-sync. maybe cause there was a usual connectionerror in one of the last syncs.
2.) MyPhoneExplorer tries to upload over 400 events to your phone - which is impossible.

Those two things in combination raise the bug.
Please do following:
- press the second button in the organizer-Toolbar (Download entire)
- decrease in the sync-settings the date-bandwidth of the sync so that the phone will be not overfilled. The phone can hold maximal 300 events !

I hope this works for you

Excellent - Fixed the problem

Events is now down to 272 and sync is working fine.

Thanks for the help again!

Hello,

Please, I have the same problem in French : "impossible de se connecter au téléphone".
What have I to do ?

Thanks.

When you have the problem ? Only if you sync or directly if MPE connects to the phone ?

I got your logfile.
I think the problem is raised from the contactpicture. Did you enable this tweak in the general.ini ?

Sorry, I don't really understand your second answer (what is tweak ? the contactpicture is the file .vcf I have uploaded ?).
It happens only when I sync.
I didn't modify the general.ini.

Thanks.

How was the contact created ? Did you import a vCard-File ?

Verfasst: Mo 7. Jul 2008, 08:35
von toto753
Yes, a a vCard-File (.vcf).

OK, as instant fix please close MPE and open the file Phonebook.dat in your database-folder (%appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\Phone IMEI). Search for a line which begins with PHOTO. under this line you should find a block of data, delete the block and the line which begins with PHOTO.

It will be fixed in the next update.

I thought it was a good idea but unfortunately it did not manage...
I tested your proposal and I also tested to delete the Phonebook.dat and to correct the vCard-File (delete the photo lines and blocks in thos .vcf file) but same result...
I sent you the files.

Thanks a lot.

Hmm - i was near sure that it was before something like an "overflow" in the phone.

reduce the OBEX-packet-size to 256 byte.
restart the phone - this is always good ;-)

If this also not works - can you try it with bluetooth instead of the cable ?

PS.: In your case in need only the file Debug.txt for checking. settings.dat and Sync_Log.html is useless

The phone is restarted at each time because when the problem arrives, it blocks the phone in the sync mode.
With bluetooth it seems to go further in the sync but I get the same problem.
Sorry...

Yes it's good !
The OBEX-packet-size was soon 256 octets.
For a last test in bluetooth, I've increased it to 4096 octets and the speed from 4800 to 115200 and it is OK.
I don't understand. Maybe the speed and the OBEX-packet-size were too low since I delete photo lines.
And after, I try again with the cable and it is OK too !

I have just new questions if you're OK :
1. What's the difference between SMSArchive.dat and SMS.dat.
Because I've in my phone some enregistred SMS but I'd like to put them in the correct way : received or sent.
2. Can I recover my SMS from my Sagem I can save in a text file .txt (I send it to you by mail) ?

Thanks a lot really for all your help and sorry for my english !

SMS.dat contains the messages from the phone, the first 4 folders in MPE.
SMSArchive.dat contains the data from the SMS-Archive in MyPhoneExplorer

I took a look at the file you sent me. MyPhoenExplorer doesnt allow the import if plain-textfiles. MPE works always with the sourcecode of an SMS which includes all headers and tags. In plaintext-files this code is missing - its called PDU-Format)

I have a last thing I want to understand.
I looked at the SMS.dat file.
If I understood correctly with my tests, when a line begins with :
- SIM,1 (or another number), it's a saved message
- TEL,1, it's a received message
- TEL,2, it's a draft message
- TEL,3, it's a sent message
The problem :
when I modify a message beginning with TEL (which was SIM+1), it's OK in MyPhone Explorer but when I synchronize with my phone, messages go back to saved messages : why ?
The synchronization only from phone to MyPhoneExplorer ?

Thanks again and sorry for your time.
