Time sync using NTP server stopped working in 1.6.6. It worked in 1.6.5 like a charm ;)

Sync'ing to local clock still works, but I primary use NTP.

As per an earlier post - have you tried using a different NTP server and make sure your firewall isn't blocking NTP.

Please note that it works not via NTP-Protocol, it works throught the TIME-Protocol (Port 37). I know that the default server is down, I'll try to find other servers. There are some predifined servers in the settings, one of them should work.

Here is pool.ntp.org project, it aims to provide free and load balanced NTP server pool for use in applications and network enabled devices.

You can implement SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol) which is less complex than normal NTP and should be enough for our purposes. Links to RFCs are in Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Time_Protocol

PS: Don't hard code one single time server because you can DDoS them (please ask them for permission first!). I think if you set "pool.ntp.org" as default it should be the best resolution for this issue.

Here is some additional option for software/hardware vendors: http://www.pool.ntp.org/vendors.html
