Once again, ZoneAlarm takes a dislike to MPE. This time it says that kwab.dll is a trojan. I think there is a real trojan dll with that name, so maybe that is the source of this problem?

Once again - i think every software-developer has to live with it. I can ensure that there is no Trojan in the file kWab.dll. Many programs use this file. Besides this its a littlebit funny that the file is over 3 years old and installed on hundret thousands of PC's and after 3 Years ZoneLabs finds out that the file should be a trojan ? - Never !

Yeah,
it is a common issue in these days! It happened to one of my programs too!
The way a protection software software identifies a malicious application, is, to compare a piece of binary code which is supposed to be unique for that virus with the file it scans. Unfortunately it happens from time to time that a program matches exactly this pattern and the user will get false virus alert...
There are 3 workarounds:
1.
the user tells his av software manually that this is a safe file
2. (and quite complicate)
The developer needs to contact the AV company to get his product cleared
3.
Wait until the next release! A little bit change in the source code and recompiling often solves this problem ...

FYI

Hi,
Since I use Kaspersky Internet Security & MPE I'd never have any problems with trojan warnings or anything else!
