Remaining characters in SMS not updated deleting last chars

This is a very small bug, I know, but nevertheless it is a bug :).

When I write a message, but for some reason delete what I have written, the count of remaining characters is not updated when I delete the last character or last group of characters.

For instance, right now it says "SMS 1 - still 157 characters left" after I deleted the last three letter word of the message using Ctrl+Backspace. Also, if I write a longer message, press Ctrl+A and then Delete, is says e.g. "100 characters left", if there were 60 characters in the deleted message. It should say "160 characters left" in both cases.

So, to conclude, when a message becomes empty for some reason, the remaining character count is not updated.

This is a bit confusing sometimes...

Of course I can live with it, but in a program otherwise so perfect (in my experience), it would be nice to have this corrected, I think. 8)

Hmm.. Curious. I've just tested this and it would seem MPE will never list '160 characters remaining'. Upon starting to edit a message, it will count down. Deleting with the backspace key, it will count up. If the message has one character in it, MPE shows 159 remaining. If you hit backspace again, MPE still shows 159 remaining.

Similarly, if you have a 5 character word as the only word in the SMS, then hit Ctrl+Backspace, the remaining count will sit static at 155.

Again, if you Ctrl+A to select all and hit backspace, the count will not be updated.

In all cases, though, MPE will resume counting down with the correct figure as soon as you start typing again.

I never noticed this before. As Jesper stated, it's not really a big deal, but it definitely happens!
