MyPhoneExplore on Open Suse Leap with Wine 15.6 Crashing on startup [Solved].
I solved the issues with Claude Code.
MSVBVM60.DLL (Visual Basic 6 runtime) is missing. MyPhoneExplorer is a VB6 application. Let me install it using winetricks.
That solved the missing DLL issue but then I got this " Run time error code 372. Failed to load Phonebook from. Your version may be outdated".
This is a known issue with MyPhoneExplorer under Wine - it's missing the Microsoft Common Controls OCX files. Let me install the required dependencies.
The fix was installing the missing VB6 OCX controls (mscomctl.ocx, comctl32.ocx, comdlg32.ocx, mscomct2.ocx) via winetricks.
However MPE still crashed on startup.
All OCX files are present but the ones in the DLL subdirectory aren't registered with Wine. Let me register them all. All 7 OCX controls registered successfully. Let me also register the DLLs that the app references.
MPE started successfully. It connects to the phone via wifi. Have not tested usb.
