I have new Pixel 10 running Android 16 with google calendar and MPE 4.9.
The previous phone is Samsung S22 also with Android 16 and MPE at 4.9 but with Samsung Calendar app.
Thunderbird is at 128.12.0esr
I cannot get MPE to sync with the Pixel and I have done the following as described in earlier posts on this subject.:
| Zitat: | Enable Google-Calendar-app => Settings => General => Share Google Calendar data with other apps
You must wait a few minutes ! |
When synced google calendar does not show any of the data synced.
All calendar entries are blank and I've never had this problem with and prior phones (different app) be they Samsung, Sony and even HTC .. I have been a long time user of MPE..
I tried two other calendar apps (Digical and aCalendar).
Both synced and displayed entries correctly however when I closed those apps and then re-opened them I found all the synced data had gone and the calendar was empty apart from holidays.
MPE on Windows 11 is version 2.3
Gordon
I am really struggling so guidance appreciated

Which calendars are activated on your device? Phone => MPE-Client => Settings => Calendars to sync
Which calendar is activated on your device? Phone => MPE-Client => Settings => Add new events to...
I recommend the following:
Create a new local calendar under Phone => MPE Client => Settings => Manage local calendars.
Disable all other calendars under Phone => MPE Client => Settings => Calendars to sync.
Force a sync Thunderbird > phone |

Thanks Icke
I followed your instructions but sadly still nothing appears in the google calendar on the Pixel 10.
I checked calendar settings with my Samsung S22 and they do match.
Incidently I have another problem on the Pixel 10 where NFC keeps losing connection to a device I wear to check blood sugar levels. Have no problem on my Samsung and as this is a key feature so I will be sending the Pixel 10 back to google.
Your help was appreciated. |

Have you also enabled the newly created calendar for display in the Google Calendar app? |

I cannot work out how to do that.
Could you point me in the right direction please?
BTW I had already done this step:
Enable Google-Calendar-app => Settings => General => Share Google Calendar data with other apps.
as you posted to another user who had "similar"problems. |

The following must also be activated: Google Calendar app => 3 lines in the top left => Settings => Manage accounts => Local calendar / On this device |

Thanks
I did not have to do this on prior Samsung which was why I was stuck.
Aplogies for not knowing this and appreciate your help and calendar now works.
If only I could get NFC to work properly on the Pixel 10 then I would be happy but there is no fix for that it seems. |
