Update of contacts not adding country code

I had most of my phone numbers stored in Outlook without any country code. I have since moved to Mexico and now I need to have the +1 in front of all my contacts phone numbers so they dial correctly from Mexico.

I took an hour (or more) to update every phone number in Outlook to include the country code.

When I sync with my phone, none of these numbers show as needing updating, and in the software on my laptop, the numbers do not show the +1 having been added.

Looking in the phone shows that the contacts in the phone also do not have the country code added.

I don't really want to delete all the contacts just to re-add them, but if that's what needs done, ok.

Either way, it feels like a bug that this isn't working, so I wanted to report it.

Please let me know if this can/will be fixed and also if I should delete contacts from the phone to force them to be re-created correctly.

thanks! :!:

Its not a bug, MyPhoneExplorer does detect changes with some allowed diffrences due technical reasons.

If you want to ensure that all national phone numbers in the phone will get a country code then just select them and choose right-click -> format contacts

I didn't know that was an option.

Unfortunately, format numbers > correct numbers > Prefix national numbers with +1 didn't work.

I think I will just delete the contacts and force computer > phone sync and force them to update that way.

Thanks for the guidance
