OBEX errorcode:00 - phone didn't answer, Timeout

I keep getting "OBEX errorcode:00 - phone didn't answer, Timeout" error when transferring files by drag and drop over WiFi, especially large files such as videos. I have made a Google search for this exact error message with no results, so I'm asking here directly.

The problem doesn't seem to happen when I use the sync function (but then, it tends to make mutiple copies of files when I've changed file names on the PC, so I prefer to transfer files manually)

My only remedy is to shut down MyPhoneExplorer after waiting for the frozen transfer dialog to unfreeze and then dismiss the error, and closing the Client on the phone, restarting the Client and MyPhoneExplorer and trying again.

My setup is Windows 7 Pro on the PC and Android 14 on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. MyPhoneExplorer 2.2 portable, Client app v. 4.2 on the phone. I am using the Phone's WiFi Hotspot feature for WiFi and it works perfectly for connecting my PC to the Internet using my phone's data connection. Also, I always manually update the IP address in MyPhoneExplorer before sync because the Google Pixel changes IP addresses every time the WiFi Hotspot is turned on and MyPhoneExplorer doesn't auto detect it (whereas my PC does and that's where I have it revealed using ipconfig for manual input in MyPhoneExplorer). There is no way to disable the phone's constantly changing Hotspot IP address - Google claims it's a 'security feature' (my bank disagrees and treats that as 'suspicious behaviour', but that's another story), and there is no way to disable that behaviour.

Could you suggest a remedy?

Thank You.

Probably the issue does happen because the phone does freeze MyPhoneExplorer Client because of energy savings. First try to keep your phone alive during a big filetransfer. If this does fix your problem then check your energy settings of the phone and ensure that MyPhoneExplorer Client has a exception for energy saving

Thank You, that seems to have resolved the issue! :D
