It took some time to find the find function, it is hidden somewhere in the 'Extras' menu (why no edit menu?). I'd expect at least a button for this function, but that's not the issue here.

If I lookup a contact by number, nothing seems to happen, except that the main window gets focus. However, if I enter a unknown number, I do get a message that nothing was found. This suggests that the first lookup did find something. If I press the 'down' button, the next contact (after the found one) is highlighted and scrolled into view. It turns out that:

- The window does not scroll to the found contact
- The found contact is not highlighted

I hope this will be fixed.

Which OS you are using ? XP or Vista ?

By the way - you can also use STRG+F to show the search-window

Unter Windows XP sieht die Sache mit der Suchfunktion wie folgt aus:

Innerhalb der Kurznachrichten funktioniert die Suchfunktion (CTRL+F) einwandfrei, d. h. bei einem Treffer scrollt MyPhoneExplorer automatisch zum markierten Suchergebnis.

Sucht man hingegen in einer langen Liste von Kontakten, wird das Suchergebnis zwar markiert, rückt aber nicht ins Blickfeld, so dass nicht auf Anhieb klar ist, ob überhaupt ein Treffer erzielt wurde.

Da hier im Forum schon mehrfach nach der Suchfunktion gefragt wurde, gehe ich mit AdLentis einig, dass die Software durch einen zusätzlichen Such-Button ("Lupe") vermutlich nicht in einer Weise überladen würde, dass dies mit der Philosophie der "Einfachheit" gänzlich unvereinbar wäre...

Ein Menü "Bearbeiten" (Edit) mit üblichen Funktionen wie "Alles markieren" (CTRL+A), "Suchen" (CTRL+F) und "Weitersuchen" (F3) wäre - wie von AdLentis erwähnt - sicher auch nicht zu verachten...
