[Solved] Can't set multi-sync

Been using MPE for many years, and just moved to a Win 11 PC, and trying to set up my multi-sync jobs again.

When I try to select the folders, I can't select those from the phone, no matter which direction of sync I'm trying to use, either source or target. I have 'external storage' and 'internal storage' showing in the browse window but the 'OK' button is greyed out.

Connection is fine, and I can sync the organiser and calendar etc OK, and can browse the phone's folders using MPE, it just won't show them in the settings for multi-sync. It all worked fine under Win 10.

Uninstalled and re-installed MPE and Motorola drivers, and rebooted everything, but no change.

Phone: Motorola G6 Android 9 (I know, but it's still good to go!)
Connection: USB
MPE Version: 2.1
Windows version: Windows 11 Pro

I must be missing something, so I'd appreciate any help...

Install the MPE beta version which fixed the problem

Thanks for the swift reply.

That cured it on my phone, but not on my wife's - a Motorola G6 Play.

There is a difference between them in USB settings - my phone shows 'USB controlled by' = 'This device'.
In my wife's phone both options are greyed out.

I can still see all the folders in her phone, from MPE as well as Windows Explorer, so I'm guessing that's the problem, as it would seem that on some phones this can't be changed. I've tried all the options in USB preferences with no luck.

Can you also make changes and upload and download files manually using MPE?
If no, please check the AppInfo of the MPE client on your mobile phone to see whether all permissions are activated.
I can't imagine that it's the connection, but try it via WiFi.

Just to follow up on this:

I have got it to work by:

1. opening MPE

2. going into 'files' and browsing to the folder needed

3. copying the path at the top

4. pasting that path into the 'source folder' box in the multi-sync settings

5. click the green '+' to add it to the job list.

interestingly, once I've done that, the '+' appears and I can browse as expected to add more, and if I click the red '-' to remove the job from the list, I can still browse until I close 'settings'.
