Moving SMS + Contacts Android 2.3.6 --> Android 10

Hi

I am trying to move SMS & contacts from an old Samsung Duos with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread to an Alactel 1b 2020 with Android 10 Go Edition on the target phone.

Both communicate fine over WiFi with PC using MyPhoneExplorer app on each phone and I can import to archive with each phone as different use at bottom left of MyPhoneExplorer.

SMS and contacts imported fine into archive of Samsung Duos, the moved into archive of the Acatel 1b phone. However will not give option of "copy to phone > inbox" with each SMS whereas the same SMS within the Samsung archive does give that option to copy into the inbox of phone.

Any suggestions to complete this process or some other strategy to do the same task?

Do you already have MPE-Client_1.0.48 installed on your phone?
If not, uninstall the current client and install MPE client 1.0.48
A dialog box will appear in your cell phone during the transfer, which you must press!

1.0.47 on older phone.
3.6 on new phone.
Does the version difference matter?

Both communicate with PC successfully over WiFi.

It is getting messages moved between the phones within MPE desktop on PC that is the issue.
