Install Virtual Box and MyPhone Explorer and get full functionality without spending weeks and months of your life trying to get Wine working properly.
Install Suse Linux Leap.
Install Virtual box.
******** Install the Suse RPM provided by Oracle located at this site: Linux_Downloads – Oracle VM VirtualBox https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads ***********
Download the Windows ISO from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/softwar ... ISOInstall
Install the Windows ISO in Virtual Box.
Windows picks up the license key from the BIOS if a version of Windows was previously installed on the PC. Otherwise activate after installation and buy a license.
Install Virtual Box Guest Additions.
VBoxGuestAdditions is required for full screen display of the Windows guest VM, cut and paste between the host and the VM and lots of other usability features.
VBoxGuestAdditions.iso can be found in this directory after Virtual Box is installed: /usr/share/virtualbox/
VBoxGuestAdditions.iso not shipped with the Suse VirtualBox packages downloaded from the Suse Repos. Use the Oracle RPM instead.
Download and install the VirtualBox extension pack from here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads (cross platform). NB: Not the same as Guest Additions.
Set the Virtual Box adapter to bridged mode and select the wireless card in Virtual Box manager network settings.
Set drag and drop and cut and paste to bi-directional.
Start the Windows VM and enable full screen mode.
There is loads of support on the Net for anyone who has a problem trying to configure Virtual Box.
I find running Windows in a Virtual Box VM on Suse just as fast if not faster then running bare metal Windows and buying a Windows license for a couple of hundred bucks to run apps like MyPhone Explorer is preferable to wasting years of your life trying to get apps working properly under Wine .
