Google Calendar Sync (Push)

Hi, first I wanted to thank you for this app, it's even better than many commercial ones.
I'm having some problems while trying to sync with my Google calendar. I set it up in the sync settings, I can successfully download all my events into MPE and my phone. The problem is that I cannot seem to push any events created in MPE into my Google Calenday.
This is what I see in my sync log (I'm using MPE 1.6.3)
Username: Z710 Martin
Phonemodel: Sony Ericsson Z710
IMEI:
MyPhoneExplorer Version: 1.6.3
Sync started at: 22-Oct-07 11:35:03
Sync finished at: 22-Oct-07 11:35:05
Sync events with:

But when I go to my Google Calendar page, nothing is created.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Are you sure that you have set "Google" in the prefences and not "iCal-File". Also be sure that you have writeaccess on the Calendar you transfer the new items. Maybe they are uploaded to another calendar cause you have set the "Standardcalendar-setting" in MyPhoneExplorer to the wrong folder.
If MyPhoneExplorer don't want to add the apppointment again to Google then th entry is saved in Google.

Yes, I thought about that too, but every time I hit sync, it asks me to confirm the addition of the event to the Google Calendar.
Since I only have 1 calenday and it's my personal one, I'm assuming I have write privileges. Yes I'm using Google in the preferences (to use the XML).
I'm running out of ideas
Thanks anyway for this great program, It's just a small annoyance

Please run MPE in Debugmode (startparam: debug) and send me the logfile after you uploaded a new entry to Google

It appears to be the same problem for me: GOOGLE writes PHONE but PHONE DOESN'T write GOOGLE.
Here's my log in debug mode:

Yes, this portion is exactly the same as mine. It says that the feed is read only, strange.

I have found the problem.
Google has changed its interface. Now i should request the full feed to ensure that i can edit the feed. But if i request the full feed then the Sync will raise much more traffic than now. I added a new comment in a existing Groups-Thread:
http://groups.google.at/group/google-ca ... 6bc2?hl=en
I hope Google will fix it - if not i have to switch MyPhoneExplorer that the sync will read all data from the feed.

Is there any chance you could at least provide an update which at least gives the option to use the full feed? For those of us who never use the Guests feature it (presumably?) wouldn't cause any problems, and you get it working until such time as google change their interface back.

I'll wait the next days if i get a comment in the group of a Google-Calendar-Administrator

OK, got no answer in Google-Groups. I decided to enable the full sync in the
beta-patch. I also added the reminder-sync with Google. MyPhoneExplorer chooses the the earliest Popup-reminder from Google. Please note that Google alows only a few intervals of reminders - MyPhoneExplorer calculates the closest possible interval.
Please test also the reminder-thing. It was a littlebit tricky

Ok, I tried the new patch and the sync worked fine, both ways. I'll let you know if I encounter any problem. Though I take it from the discussion that it's only a temporary solution.. Let's hope that Google fixes the sync on their end.

Please download the patch again, i updated it.
I'm afraid that Google will not change their API again so i found a better solution. MyPhoneExplorer has to retrieve now the full feed cause the changed API, but now MPE loads only the edited entries from Google. This makes the sync especially with large Google-calendars massive faster. The bad think is that there is more risk of issues. So please test test test

Can't retrieve data from Google

The last patch doesn't work for me: it can't even get data from Google now.
here is my log:

Me againg! The alerts config is working too! Great!
I'd like to have SMS instead of popup though.
If I remember google has a set for default alert, can't you leave that?
Works brilliantly except ...

Great new functionality here is some feedback after installing the 1.6.4 patch:
My main calendar in Google is not my personal calendar but another one I have created. The calendar is NOT read only.
- When I create new events on the phone they upload to Google OK
- When I amend on the phone events that are in both Google and phone they amend in Google OK sometimes,
- Sometimes when I amend an existing event on the phone then sync, MPE thinks that the Google entry is read only when it is not. If I then amend the Google entry, sync, then amend on the phone and sync again the entry syncs OK.
Great stuff by the way.
Daz, UK.

@Mietzsche: Please check your time and timezone-setting in Google and your PC. Anyway i will make some changes so that MPE takes the time of the last sync from Google and not from PC - so please stay tuned for upcoming beta-releases.
@DazUK:
- Sometimes when I amend an existing event on the phone then sync, MPE thinks that the Google entry is read only when it is not. If I then amend the Google entry, sync, then amend on the phone and sync again the entry syncs OK.
Please run MPE in debugmode (startparameter = debug). If you get an entry in MyPhoneExplorer which is readonly but should not be readonly then post the logfile (or better upload it somewhere if you have webspace)
- When I amend on the phone events that are in both Google and phone they amend in Google OK sometimes,
I will make a change so that MPE will always search a equal entry in Google before it adds a new one.
Thanks for this fantastic software

This is like a dream come true to be able to sync google calendar with my phone calendar.
Is it OK to now download the patch for syncing events in the phone to google. Or should I wait for a few more days?
Wait for the day when you could sync the contacts in google with the phone. That will be great.
Thanks for this effort. Will surely support this project.
