I've been using MPE for years but over the last few months random calendar entries are getting duplicated. For instance, birthdays set for yearly recurrence in Outlook on my computer and they are synced to my phone. Even though they are in both locations, MPE asks if I want to add the appointment from my phone to Outlook. If I say yes then it duplicates it in both locations.

This also happened several times for flight schedules which Outlook adds automatically from my emails. The same thing happens...the appointments are in both my phone and computer already, but MPE wants to add a duplicate of it from my phone to my computer.

I wonder if this is because I travel to different locations and time zones and MPE is getting confused by this?

Today something even weirder happened. MPE asked if I wanted to sync an appointment from 2011 and another one from 2015! I only have it set to sync 180 days in the past and future so why would it ask about appointments from 7 and 11 years in the past?

I'm using Windows 11 and a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Have been using this since 2012? Donated in the past to support it. Tried resetting sync and confirmed that sync is set for 5 days in the past. Seeing entries to delete from phone for 15 years before phone was acquired? Any suggestions about how to fix this? I can post the log file(s) for review.

If you sync with outlook then disable the setting Menu-File-Settings-Sync-Organizer (Outlook)-Advanced -> "Compare only changed appointments (faster)". This setting has a little risk of duplicates.

To fix your duplicates for now you can select "Force Outlook -> phone" on sync, this will delete the dupes on the phone instead of creating new items in Outlook.

If this was not the reason then probably the duplicates are created directly from the phone or any other sync routine on the phone (outside MyPhoneExplorer).
