I am not able to set a yearly recurrent event. I select "Recurrent Event" and it gets saved as "Birthday".

It is not a Birthday.

MyPhoneExplorer does declare a yearly ruled event with a 4 digit in description (birthyear) always as birthday event. Just remove or change the description of your appointment
