MPE 1.4.4 - SMS disappear

I have installed MPE 1.4.4 yesterday, and today, I wanted to search something in Archive SMS at PC, but all SMS are gone. Where can I find them?

Look in the appfolder and in the appdata-folder for a file called SMS.dat
C:\Programs\MyPhoneExplorer
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\AppData\MyPhoneExplorer

there was only one file SMS.dat in my profile directory
this file contains only new SMS, that i copied to the archive today, all old SMS are gone :(
a small unimportant question: Why your program (and other programs too) don't save date and time at outgoing SMS messages?
note: I use czech langugage in MPE; Windows XP SP2 with all updates (englisth version)
