I have MyPhoneExplorer on both my desktop and smartphone. I only use the one on my desktop, not the one on my smartpnone. Can I remove the one on my smartphone?

The desktop app of MPE only works if there is also the MPE app on the phone.

As has been said you need both to work. But if you're asking this question have you set up MPE correctly on both?
