I had to reinstall the OS on my Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime phone and since I cannot connect anymore. I tried everything (I think) said in the phone and the Windows 7 configuration. On all modes (WiFi, BlueTooth or USB) the phone is found, but I get the same message: The phone cannot be identified.
Here is the log file:

When you're sure all settings are correct, you should have a look at the Windows Task Manager. There's a good change that you have more than one instances of MyPhoneExplorer running.
The option to prevent more than one instances from running does not always work: it happened to me as I had selected automatic start up in MPE as well as in Windows start up settings.

After an extremely long search we found several instances active, deleted all but one and it worked perfect again since then. So:

-check Windows Task Manager
-delete all running instances and start the app
-adjust the start up settings to have just one instance running after start up
and you'll be fine (given that all settings are correct as I said!).

In your case the MyPhoneExplorer Client answers with an ERROR so its no general connection problem. You did not accept the permission "Phone" for MyPhoneExplorer Client, this is the reason for your problem.
