Does MPE work with Win10 and Android 10

I am sorry but I cannot follow all the threads describing how to use MPE with Thunderbird and Thunderbird’s calendar, in view of the Google and Windows security measures.
After using it for years, it stopped functioning. I am stumped.
I cannot make it work to sync my calendar/contacts on my phone.
Is it supposed to work with my configuration?
If it cannot work, what can I use to make it work. I do not want to share my contacts and calendar with Google, but I would consider doing that if I could synchronize my calendar/contacts.
I would rather not stop using MP because its been so good.

I just noted in a separate thread that I've been having similar problems with a new phone, and a similar setup, although I'm using Outlook rather than Thunderbird/Lightning.

For me, the process I went through was first establishing that I have connectivity, of being able to browse the phone from the Windows Explorer, in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. I had some problems with getting all the USB configs done, of enabling USB debugging, and I ended up spending time with Nokia's tech support on a chat session, to get that worked out. One nice thing about Android 10 is that you can set a default condition for USB connections. I set mine to Data Transfer. With Android 8, I had to enable Data Transfer on each connection. With Android 10, a connection from the computer immediately goes to Data Transfer, and if I want to charge, then I have to switch to charging (using the same dialog).

I initially populated my phone with data doing a backup recovery, but I found that I wasn't getting synchronization of Calendar, Contacts and Notes, and I realized that the phone and computer probably weren't finding data in expected locations (or perhaps, formats). I went back to the config settings and found that for synchronization, I had "only MPE" set for each of those, and when I changed each to "Outlook", I'm getting what I expect.

For your situation, make sure that you have those set to Thunderbird. That might not fix your specific problem, but if those are mis-set, then you'll definitely have problems with synchronization
