Insisting on syncing with Outlook.com rather than Outlook

For years I've user MyPhoneExplorer and happily been able to sync my Outlook desktop calendar with my Android phone. Now, for some reason when I use the Outlook sync option in MyPhoneExplorer it only has an option to sync with Outlook.com.
I have tried all means I can think of to rid myself of the Outlook.com curse
I've removed the accounts from my Windowes installation, I've uninstalled and reinstalled MyPhoneExplorer (deleting the personal data files as part of the unistall), but the Outlook.com infection remains. For me it's rendered MyPhoneExplorer of no use. 
Any help would be much appreciated as I'm about to give up altogether and uninstall MyPhoneExplorer for good.
