mpe-addin.api in 1.8.15 not compatible with Thunderbird 68.1

I am running latest version of Thunderbird 64-bit on Windows 10 - current version on release channel is 68.12.0 (64-bit)
I updated MyPhoneExplorer to 1.8.15, but addon for MPE is rejected by Thunderbird "about:addons MyPhoneExplorer could not be installed because it is not compatible with Thunderbird 68.12.0"
Downgraded the addon back to MPE 1.8.14, but I left the 1.8.15 version of the application. Runs without any problems.
