Text Message send but no record and no waring

Hi

Something odd has just started to happen. I can send a message from the desktop app, as I have done for years, and it goes as expected so no issue there and I can also receive messages and they appear in the desktop notification popup as normal.

The problem is now when I send a new message there is; a) no warning on the phone to say to allow sending and it just 'sends' and b) there is no record of the text message being sent in the phone, only on the desktop app.

Doing a sync does not update the phone with the missing 'sent' messages.

I was on an older client version 1.0.4x which I was advised to stay on due to some Google constraints but I have just updated to 1.0.73 hoping that would fix it. All still seems to work OK but still no 'sent' messages are recorded.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA

Same here, its an Android restriction

Have been trying to find a workaround since last year.

Its an Android restriction (not sure starting what version)

But apparently, the Android version ONLY allows messages to be saved on the phone by the default SMS app.

If I change the default SMS app on the phone to Myphoneexplorer client, it will save the sent item, however, the inconvenience is when I want to compose an SMS on the phone using Google's Messages or the phone's default app, I need to switch to that app. So its an inconvenience.

Hi, yes I have seen that but putting an older version on does not fix it. It seems sadly that MPE has had it's day with SMS :( I'll have to use the Google SMS tools now when do work on phone and PC and sync together.

Cheers
