MPE no longer synchs with Thunderbird Agenda

Greetings from Paris.
It worked fine for more than a year, then after installing both new versions of MPE (1.8.14) and Thunderbird (68.7.0, 32-bits), I can no longer synch my phone agenda (Huawei P30, Android 10). All the entries on TBird's Agenda have disappeared. I am only interested in synching the agenda, I synch and manage the rest with Huawei "HiSuite".
All the agenda entries that used to be on TBird are fully visible on MPE's Agenda interface (and on my phone), yet they cannot be transferred to TBird, and that used to work beautifully yesterday.
Synching from the phone to TBIRD is what I want mostly.
Choosing TBird to Phone, Phone to TBird, or both directions makes no difference.
I get a pop-up with no origin listed (MPE?? TBird??), telling me (in French) that "MPE's extension is either not installed or too old. Install new plug in now?"
Saying OK after closing TBird and having it reopen changes nothing. Last message is that "Entries from TB could not be loaded". Again, it's the opposite I really want.
I have installed and uninstalled both apps, TB 32- and 64-bits, older versions of both programs, no difference...
Desktop OS is Win7 professional.
