Am I not supposed to use a USB 3.0 port/cord?

The FAQ instructions on how to use MyPhoneExplorer says, "You should NOT use the USB 3.0 Port of your PC.
If you connect the cell phone via usb-cable with MyPhoneExplorer, the MyPhoneExplorer tries to install its Client on the phone. But you can also do this manually (if you prefer to do so)."

Does this mean we can only USB 2.0/1.0? There aren't that many computers with these ports.

Do you guys use USB 3.0? And USB 3.0 cord? Did everything worked fine transferring files with dates (including creation date) and attributes preserved?

All my USB ports are USB 3.0. Do I need to go out and buy a USB 2.0 cable? I would prefer to use USB as connection as it's faster. I did a test transfer and it seems to work. But I'm concerned that if I transfer a lot of files something will go wrong without my knowledge.

That information is outdated, thanks for pointing that out.
You can use the USB 3.0 ports. If there are problems with that, check the cable itself. There have been issues but they all came down to a cable that was incompatible for the use at a USB 3.0 port.

I´ll advise FJ to change the text in the above mentioned thread.
