Is possible to tweak photo sync to include *.heic? Or is it hardcoded in source code, so it requires new version of MPE? |

To sync Data with the Ending ".heic" you better create a seperate Sync-job.
By the way, that format is a Apple format and the MPE does not work with Apples OS. So what do you do with that anyway? |

Unfortunately, sync jobs do not support date-dependent subfolders. Which is a must for photos:)

I have MPE for Apple. No just joking:) It is not an Apple format, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Efficiency_Image_File_Format.

I´ve known this format only on Apple devices.
So, what device do you use?
As for that sync, I highly doubt that FJ will implement that but I will ask him. |

Hi @FJ,
Thank you for this software that I have been using for over 10 years.
I'm using the stable MPE v2.1 and now i upgraded to debug nightly. In both case MPE still won't sync .HEIC files on my computer.
I performed a complete uninstallation with Revo Uninstaller + reboot + reinstallation but its still doesn't work. Has this been implemented? if yes, what should I check?

Just checked the source - heic is already added for sync.
Please tell me the full path of such a *.heic-File and if you are using "Photosync" or "Filesync" in MyPhoneExplorer |

Sorry for the delay. The notification about your reply ended up in my spams.
My photos are in D:\Pictures\X12\ which gives the following result D:\Pictures\X12\example.HEIC
And I only use Photo-Sync with MPE 2.1 version.

The regular photo folder is always in \DCIM\... and not in \Pictures\...
But no problem, just set up a regular filesync for this folder. Its the third button in the toolbar of the filebrowser |

Thank you for your answer.
I just understood where the problem was.
First of all thank you for the recommendation to create a regular filesync but it did not meet my expectations: I want to save my photos with the "create date-dependent subfodlers" function and this solution does not create folders automatically.
Out of curiosity I clicked on the button on the left (sync photos) which allows it to do so and it supports the heic format !
Unless I am mistaken, it seems that the "re-sort folder structure" button in "File/settings/Advanced 2" has not been updated to support the heic format.
I appreciate the time you spend on this application and on this forum and I congratulate the quality of your work ! |
