No more clipboard access?

Recently, I have no more access to phone clipboard over bluetooth. Can't write to phone clipboard from PC, can't read phone clipboard. With shift-F12 the response is always "The clipboard of the phone was empty".
It seems this started when I updated my phone to Android 10. Oh, it looks like Android 10 restricts clipboard access. Damn. So unless an app has focus or is current IME, there's no access to clipboard.
Is there any workaround planned?

It was suggested that you check, if the MPE client on the phone was denied of some rights.
Anybody here with Android Q who can verify that this function is still working on his device?

Just tried this with my phone - a Note 9 running Dr. Ketan's Q-based ROM. I get the error above only when there is nothing in my phone's clipboard. I copied some text from an email and I then get a pop-up showing that text when I hit <shift>F12 on my PC.
Note: never used this option before ......

Well, did MyPhoneExplorer Client have the focus on your phone when you were able to copy data from the phone's clipboard? Because that's how it works for me and it's according to documentation too.
Here's a quote from
https://developer.android.com/about/ver ... cy/changes:
Limited access to clipboard data
Unless your app is the default input method editor (IME) or is the app that currently has focus, your app cannot access clipboard data on Android 10 or higher.
I guess the workaround is going into MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone when I want to share the clipboard.
