How can i reset the sync DB and start again?

is there a way i can reset the indexes and start syncing from scratch. i have the system lagging and not synching because i have thousands of calendar entries to be synched.
is there a way i can reset the sync as if i am setting up to sync from scratch?
it stalls after retrieving 30006 calendar entries and doesn't sync.
