Hi
I keep getting the following message;
Connection to phone could not be established:No device attached to USB
It is connected .......................... but the screen on myphone is so badly damaged that I can't use the phone at all.
I can't access anything, therefore I can't access the settings and change them in any way.
USB debugging is probably not enabled, am I stuffed?
I'm using Windows 10 and the phone is a DooGee BL5000.
I'm trying to access my contact list in order to transfer them to my new phone.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,

Slime.

From the help file for USB connection:

- Ensure that 'USB debugging' is enabled on phone (Settings-Applications-Development or Settings-Developer options)
- In Android 4.2.2 and newer you have to unlock the USB-Debugging option first (Settings-About the phone-Build number -> tap 7 times on it)
- Ensure that the Debug-Interface-Drivers for your phone are installed (ADB-Drivers)

So all of this has to be enabled.

Can you try another way to connect, e.g. using WiFi? There are no prerequisites. Except to have WiFi enabled and the MPE client installed, of course.

Unfortunately, the screen is so badly damaged that I can't see anything, therefore can't get into settings!
My screen resembles an amoled spider web!

The MPE client is installed on my laptop and, unfortunately, not on the phone!
I presume that's a deal breaker. :(

That's correct. The MPE software on your laptop requires an MPE client app, downloadable from the Google Play store.

If that's not installed, there will be no connectivity between phone and computer.

You have to look for something else.
