Confirm access to sd-card

On my Android 5.1 I have MPE 1.0.48 which asks during "Sync Photos" for
Confirm access to sd-card
I Can see the SD-card and it's top-level contents. But selecting the "SD Card" results in an error
The folder you chosed was not the root of your sd-card
No way to allow MPE to delete the Photo's after the sync.
Weird thing : I have another folder on that SD-card that I sync as "Sync Files Job" with a delete after the Sync too. And that deletion works without any questions asked
So what might be going on ?
I haven't been using MPE a while on that device, but am almost 100% sure that the deletion after "Sync Photos" worked just fine
PS: SMS-deletion issues with newer MPE releases is why I still use 1.0.48. So don't mention "upgrade"
