MPE filebrowser is crashing accessing photos folders ... , especially with tons of photos. Smaller folders with photos run ok. Others folders also run smoothly.

MPE 1.8.11 was stable

Versions on PC (1.8.12) and on smartphone (1.0.66) are relevant.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960F) (Android 9)
Connection: Wi-Fi
WinXP x32 with SP3

Similar behavior 1.8.12 on Windows 10 (Wi-Fi connect)!!!

Start preview, freeze and crashes...

1.8.11 - OK, no problems (thousand images - OK)

1.8.12 - crashes!!!
