"settings sync with" does not display outlook file

I recently upgraded from outlook 2010 to outlook 2016. I have been using MPE for many years now, but since the upgrade to outlook 2016, I am no longer able to sync my calendar, contacts, notes and tasks. Under settings - sync with outlook files are not listed. I am able to connect my Samsung S8 successfully to the laptop to sync several folders via USB and WIFI. I am also connecting and syncing successfully to MPE contacts and my Windows contact but no luck connecting with outlook 2016.

I am using win10, MPE 1.8.11 and outlook 2016

After researching and reading several posts it seems MPE syncs directly with Outlook. Thought it might have been the data file location which has changed.
Currently MPE works fine on my desktop. It USED TO work on my laptop but since an upgrade there is no OUTLOOK option.
Settings -> Sync:
Contacts drop-down lists 4 options - should be 5
Only MPE, Windows contacts, v-card file, internal sync data-base - Outlook 16 = missing.

Events and tasks drop-down lists 3 options - should be 4
Only MPE, i-cal file, internal sync data-base - Outlook 16 = missing.

Notes drop-down lists 3 options - should be 4
Only MPE, v-note file, internal sync data-base - Outlook 16 = missing.

This means that it is effectively non-functioning as syncing with Outlook is the reason I loved MPE
