MPE, newest version, steals focus on two of my XP SP2 but not on a third one.

That is, whenever I send or receive an SMS it pushes itself in the foreground which is quite troublesome.

Is there some way to turn this behaviour off?

Yes - it take effect in the next update.

I think this happens on my Vista too

The update arrives when i'm ready with it. Not earlier and not later

Always ON time.

The reminder also steals the focus. I like to have the window open until I am ready to handle it. It's not easy as it steals the focus every 3 seconds or so.

AFAIK the riminder will popup only if there is a new action in it. And then its the correct sense to popup. What you mean with every 3 seconds ?
