[Solved]Bug: can't any longer copy SMS messages to phone

I'd like to report that with the latest version to date (1.0.64) and its predecessor (I believe it was 1.0.63), I can no longer copy an SMS message which is in Computer archive back to the phone ("in its original storage").
I get an error message that reads "Message could not be stored!".
This did not happen with a previous version (1.0.45) of which I have the apk file. When I install this APK file, I can then copy SMS messages back to the phone. With the current 1.0.64 version, I can't.
The problem is that in order to install 1.0.45 over 1.0.64, i have to uninstall 1.0.64, which will make me lose every configuration and data already set up.
I have this issue with my two phones: a Samsung Galaxy S4 from 2014 running Android 5.0.1, and a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 from late 2018 running Android 8.1.0.
On the S4, I used to have in MPE a dialog that said "Due to security restrictions in Android..." when version 1.0.45 was on the phone. With 1.0.63, it was gone and I just had that error message.
Sorry if this was not the place for a bug report.
