I'm not sure what I am missing, but when I open the app, it tells me that I am connected either by WiFi or USB. Nothing happens. When I hit the menu key, the only thing that appears is Exit and Settings. Settings only allows Name Format and Address Format. Outlook doesn't have a sync command. I have USB debugging enabled. This shouldn't be this difficult.

I have downloaded desktop application to my PC. I set the parameters in the software to calendar - outlook to phone (first time). I enabled 'debug' in phone. I have tried with the media USB enabled and disabled and I get the sme error message - "USB Device not connected" when I try to synch. The computer immediately recognizes the phone when I connect. What have I missed??

It happens to me as well. There process seems to be related to the fact that the desktop app when started (assuming sync at start is enabled) first calls for the android app to be loaded and then starts the sync. The trouble is that really the sync should WAIT until the android client has loaded as what currently appears to happen is that the sync starts before the app is ready. That is what I am guessing anyway.

@nittany: Did you also install the ADB-Drivers for your phone ? Without them it will not work via USB

How do I do that? Never heard of that and I am new to 'smart phones'. At this point I think they are smarter than me.

I'm sure you got a Errormessage cause the connection did not work. In this message there is a "Help"-Button. Besides this there is a Help-Link in the settings if you select "Android-Phone".
You have to Google for the ADB-Drivers, mostly they are not delivered with the phone cause they are normally used for development.

We are doing better - tried downloading drivers and was not successful. Verizon tech support suggested rebooting the phone - after that, the drivers were installed. Program found the phone through the USB. Installed the myphone application to the phone. I ran synch - force outlook to phone. Appointments are in the program software on the computer and the log says they were transferred to the phone. BUT the calendar application on the phone has no appointments and the myphone application on the phone has no appointments. Where did they go or are there settings I am missing. All of the phone info like call history and phone numbers came into the computer version of the my phone software. Just no appointments got into the phone that I can find.

Load the calendar > Menu > More - Calendars > Check that the right calendar (or all are ticked)
From People > View > Phone must be ticked

I have tried again to synchronize and I get a new error - Socket Error 10013. I called Verizon Tech service and they sent me to Samsung Tech Service. Samsung said it was not a problem with their phone. They suggested I delete adn reload teh application on my phone. I did reload teh client MyPhone Explorer to my phone and still receive the socket error 10013.
