I'm running mpetasks v1.0.55 on a samsung galaxy s8, android ver 9, kernel version 4.4.111.
mpetasks has suddenly stopped working, it no longer pops up reminders. I'm baffled as to why this is, I've been through the settings and all looks ok, I've also rescheduled again and again those reminders that fail to pop up and the set time. thanks for any help

Same version, same issue here.

I guess the app was upgraded recently, and Windows fails connecting with "Error... Connection to phone could not be established!"

Edit: After syncing once through wifi, I went back to syncing through USB like I used to, and… it's working again, without having even rebooted either the Android phone or the Windows workstation. Go figure.

thanks but you and I have different problems. Mine is nothing to do with syncing with windows, I have no problem with that. Its the mpetask app on the phone itself that isn't working. It's not popping up reminders at the scheduled time. It used to work fine and now its just stiopped working, can't find any reason why.

I have the same problem with MPE Tasks, after update, huawei p20 pro, android 9.

Yup, the Android app is broken.

At this point, I can only sync through wifi. USB no longer works.

Estimado señores, buenas tardes
Desde la actualización del dia de 27/3/19 no se muestran en el telefono las ventanas de notificaciones de las tareas, ni tienen sonido los recordatorios de las tareas.
Esto ocurre tanto en el S8 + como en el S10 +, ambos corren con​ Android 9.
Hasta la última actualización funcionaba perfectamente.
No sé si se trata de alguna incompatibilidad momentánea sobre Android 9, sobre la cual ya están ustedes trabajando, porque no creo haber tocado nada en las opciones de configuración, por ejemplo en las notificaciones de escritorio.
Muchas por ocuparse y aguardo su respuesta. Hace años que uso esta plataforma y es excelente

Same issue here.
Google updated the app so i uninstalled and re installed an old version I found and now working.

version I found was 1.042

I also updated the client on the phone to an old versio

same here i downloaded old version for client and app not sure which did the trick but now it works.

got an update from the playstore to v1.6 and all ok now. Thanks goodness, I rely on mpetasks such a lot.

Version 1.56 from playstore is broken . I don't get reminders.
Also the client has a test button an now closed after waiting 15 mins.
I installed an old version which works.
After testing is definitely the client

where did you see v1.6 on my google playsore it is still 1.56 which does not work
