Windows 10, Office 2019, MPE disconnecting

Hi folks,

I've just set up a new desktop system with Windows 10 and MS Office 2019. I had been running Windows 7 Pro and MS Office 2016 on an older desktop, which worked great with MPE.

I set MPE up on the new machine, using the same parameters as the old machine and after a few hiccups, it works fine, except... when the screensaver turns on in Windows 10, MPE disconnects - not sure if it's the phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 9) or the OS doing it.

Any ideas on what setting I may have either overlooked or am not aware of that needs to be changed?

Thanks!

I'd look at the W10 screensaver/power properties. When a low-power mode kicks in the network cards are usually disabled. Maybe the defaults have changed between W7 and W10? Or you changed them for the better many moons ago in W7 and forgot with W10?

Personally, with my PC being a deskside and plugged into the mains I have no 'power off/hibernate/sleep/screen saver' options turned on at all and just switch off my monitor when I'm not at my desk.

I just checked the power/sleep settings, same as set up in W7. I'm going to guess it's another glitch (have found several in Office 2019 Outlook already, so it doesn't surprise me).
