How Do I Combine Calls.dat Files To REcover Lost Calls

I have manged to recover old Calls.dat files from previous Images of My HD.
As I stated in the "How To Recover Call Logs", my settings somehow got changed to retain call logs for only 6 months vice unlimited. The recovered files go back to 2013.
I would like to copy these logs into one log. I have 3 different logs that I have to combine to get 1 complete log.
Is there a program or editor that will read these files and let me cut/paste the appropriate sets of lines to make a complete single call.dat file that I can then copy back into MyPhoneExplorer.
I thought I could use notepad because it seemed to open the files and let me combined them. The program didn't recognize the combined file at all.
Any help would be appreciated.
